What does rekey actually mean?
Rekey means modifying the pins inside your existing lock so the old keys no longer work, then issuing new keys. It's much cheaper than replacing the whole lock and is the standard move-in security upgrade.
Do you replace the whole lock, or repair it?
It depends. We can usually repair what's there. Replacement is for cases where the hardware is worn out, broken beyond repair, or you're upgrading to better security.
Do I need to drill the lock to get back inside?
Almost never. We pick the lock open in the vast majority of lockouts. Drilling is the last resort and we'll explain why before we do it.
